Welcome to the homepage of the Psychiatry Neuroimaging Branch (PNB) of the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf,
Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy / Imaging Center NeuroImage Nord (NIN)
The Psychiatry Neuroimaging Branch exists since December 2009. A methodological focus is multimodal imaging with EEG-fMRI and DTI.
We are interested in different psychiatric diseases, especially schizophrenia and anxiety disorders.
Present projects are focused on auditory verbal hallucinations in schizophrenia, functional synchronization of brain regions
by gamma oscillations and the investigation of the fear network and the reward system.
Beside the aim of getting a better understanding of brain function, a second important goal of our work is to help improving
therapeutic strategies (using Neurofeedback, TMS and TDCS).
